Undergrad: Academic Standards
(Catalog page 186)
The engineering departments have established minimum
standards for certain courses and for progression to the sophomore or
junior level for each of their majors. These standards are given in the
appropriate departmental sections.
In order to graduate, engineering students must satisfy the
general University requirements for a baccalaureate degree as well as
all the requirements of their engineering major. Additionally,
engineering students must have at least a 2.0 average in all
engineering, mathematics, and science courses used to fulfill
graduation requirements. If a course is repeated, only the last grade
will be used to compute the engineering grade-point average;
however, all grades are used to compute the University’s cumulative
grade-point index. Credit from courses taken pass/fail cannot be used
to complete any engineering degree requirement, unless the course is
only offered pass/fail in the engineering curriculum.
