Both FINC 200 and BUAD 100 are restricted to students who have been admitted into the Certificate program, and to those students who need to take these classes to fulfill a requirement for their major or minor. It is recommended that students follow the course sequence listed above. All courses are designed exclusively for non-business majors; these courses will NOT count towards required coursework for any student who eventually transfers into a business major in the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics. Economics majors should check with their advisor to determine how these courses fit into their curriculum. Full-time matriculated students may apply to the Certificate program during the semester in which they will complete at least 60 credits and achieve junior status, and when the Certificate coursework can be completed prior to graduation. Admission will be limited to top students as measured by GPA. Students should consult the program’s website for application deadlines. Students must meet with their advisor prior to applying for the Certificate in Business Fundamentals to determine how these credits will be allocated toward their degree program. After completing the four required courses, the student must submit an on-line “Request for Certification” at least 30 days prior to graduation. The “Request for Certification” may be submitted during the semester in which the student completes the final course(s). All applications, requests, and allowable course substitutions are only available on-line at: www.lerner.udel.edu/advising/businesscertificate.html. |
